I popped into my dealer this week and they have their fifth and final 911 R on the floor--all to 918 buyers. Three of the five have resold their cars, one is keeping his and this one is consigned to the dealer for sale. My SA told me it's the most expensive 911R in the country with a MSRP of $247k. The ask is $550k!
Love the orange accents:
Very nice. However when I picked up my 991.2, there was a R being prepped for delivery with a msrp that was higher. I have heard of some Rs with cxx options like PTS and exclusive interiors having stickers over 300k. As for the price I think 450 to 500 will be a realistic value when all settles down.
Also, I saw a 997 911 GT2 RS at my local dealership for around $450,000. It looks like a fantastic car, but why would a 2011 911 sell for that much? Can't you buy one of the new GT3 RS with a manual for less?
You might want to do a little research on the 997 GT2RS. Not a comparable to GT3 anything.
It is (at least till the release of a 991.2 GT2RS, pending) the most extreme 911 ever sold in this country, if not anywhere. (nods to 959, of course, because it was better in comparison to it's contemporaries.)
I had never heard of the GT2 RS, but obviously it looks like an amazing car. I was just a little surprised by the price
