What's more fun than a GT4 for $100,000??

I remain hopeful for this ^^^.
As for the OP's question, I don't know if there is much that compares with the GT4 at 100k. I recently asked here about the Lotus Evora Sport 410, which starts at only a few grand over 100, but of course no one in the U.S. has one yet (in fact, I'm not sure that many in Europe even have one) and probably won't for quite some time. My bet is that the 410 will be pretty incredible. As a former GT4 owner, I can tell you that I wished it had more power and that the gearing was shorter. Other than those two issues, I thought it was essentially perfect. Like most on this forum, I'm waiting to order my 1.2GT3... but if we're talking bang for the buck, the GT4 is tough to beat.

GT3's engine is totally different league. Is it worth 60k more (per my specs)? No, but as jimmy said, you can't rationalize this kind of thing. GT3 is the better car. I have to say, though, the GT3 engine just cannot be fully appreciated on the street at rational speeds.

I drove an S prior to finalizing the GT4 but was tempted by the Evora. Eventually, resale value of the S to the GT4 and dealer/service availability won out. You have a great car!

No- for $100,000 the GT4 is the best weekend Street car that is NA with a manual . It clicks all the boxes. Will the .2 GT3 be even better?? - Yes. Is the .2 GT3 worth ~$75,000 MORE ?? - No- but who said we were rational people.
I have mentioned this on a few threads- If you can not get a .2 GT3 at MSRP go buy yourself a low mileage GT4. Best bang for your buck and with these high mark-ups for the .2 GT3 the values will hold strong on the GT4s

Exactly, when things are amazing already, one often pays a lot more to get that 1% increase.
Is $400 wine taste twice as good as $200 wine? Is a $4000 computer twice as good as a $2000 computer? $1000 graphics card to $500?
Either way they are amazing. That 9000rpm 4liter tho....

I would not rush to sell the Spyder. I heard from a good source that it was the last NA Spyder. And, I have not heard the GT4 is going FI- looks like NA still

I do not like the look of the Spyder with the top up and I do not like the mechanism of putting the top down (not automatic).
Furthermore, I've had convertibles for 16 years but actually infrequently drove with the top down. Just too hot in Florida. If I lived in San Diego, I would drive all the time with the top down.
Anyway, convertible not an option for me anymore.

Haha I'm surprised, you have a good source!
The modification to the chassis architecture from 981 to 718 renders the 718 Boxster's rear engine compartment unable to fit a 3.4 liter or above engine in there. While as the 718 Cayman still have enough room to fit a 3.8 liter in the back.
So although the decision has not been made, it already looks like the 718 boxster spyder will require too many modification and hoops to jump through to be able to put a 6 cylinder in there. 981 Spyder will be most likely the last NA spyder ever.
Keep it! This gen is already rare enough, and with a lot of them disappearing and getting totaled, it will be a gem in the future.
