My car is white and Sand. Im toying with painting the center console in the same silver as the cup holder bar (bright silver). I think white would look a little off.

That was actually a factory option called aluminum look. When we bought my wife's car it had aluminum look center console and door trim. We changed it to Macassar wood and black leather and I sold off all the pieces, but this Shutterfly link has photos of them if you want to see what they looked like. I don't think I have any pics of them when they were still installed in the car though.

That's a pretty good deal -- how durable is their paintjob, etc.?

Thanks Pete. My range rover has a tan interior and a silver center console, I like the look but thinking about retaining a sand leather armrest.

Thanks for the pics, a picture is worth a thousand words.

For those who have their consoles painted or wrapped in leather, what costs are you seeing? Contemplating this mod but leaning toward leather w/ std. grey stitching like this:

Check with Eric at Bumper Plugs or check the site. Costs are listed for each piece.

Sand with silver center console:

I think it looks sharp. And no this is not my car as I dont work this quickly. I found this on ebay for $650 minus 100 for a good core deposit. Little too steep for me.

Personally, leather would be my choice. I would bump the paint, scratch it with the seat belt clasp. Wife would leave her nail file on it. Something would damage it. I would be doomed.

Same here.

Nice shot from the brochure:

Not white but painted:
This car sat for a long time and whoever snagged it got a very well-specced 911

There are two cars on eBay with some nice painted bits

This one came out nice in photos. Piano Black (Porsche gloss Black w/extra work). Stunning. We did this a couple of years ago.

Leather is nice, but done right, very costly. Cheap paint can bite you later. What we do to these consoles to coax them to this level of finish takes nearly two weeks of serious labor.

Dark Blue over Sand Beige

And one more stunning gloss Porsche Black beast:
