Default Fine machines for the road... And the wrist

An FYI:

Over the years, I've noticed many people who love 993s that I've gotten to know, also have an appreciation for fine watches.

There are a couple of good threads on Rennlist's Watches Forum under General Discussions.

https://rennlist.com/forums/watches/...atch-fans.html

If you love watches, check it out.

Just saw this

http://flatsixes.com/porsche-product...ircooled-911s/

I'm not into watches & don't know anything about this company. Just thought it was interesting.

They must be crazy if they think they can sell a Miyota-based watch for $1K+. Or I must be crazy. Either way, no interest. For a real Porsche watch I'd reach back to IWC-made models of the 80s.

Mike, good seeing you again here! I periodically look at that thread. Hard for me to keep skipping all the Rolexi Not my bowl of wax. I actually collect older stuff, from trench watch of about 1914 to 1960s chronographs. Of course, in true Wait For Me fashion, all of them are set to run a little slow.

This is just one version. But it goes backwards, so enough of a complication.

In all fairness to Mike in Chi........before I bought an air cooled 911 I thought watches were functional items. Now I own nearly a dozen Pre-1965 automatics, along with other newer makes. I would of laughed several years back.........

Mine must be running behind as well! It seems like I'm driving fast.
Love the Bill watch!
Take it slow.
