R8, v8 vantage, lotus 400s.
The R8 was the most "impressive.
Aston was the most special.
Lotus, by far drove the best and handled the best.... including >911. If not for my fear of service, the lotus is a better car from a performance and handling perspective.
Ultimately the 911 is the best value due to being the Swiss Army knife of all sports cars.... super car performance without the maintenance overhead. It's a super car you can drive relatively worry free for miles and upkeep.

I wasn't sure I'd be allowed a 911 by my wife, due to the rear seat space for two kids (problem solved with Porsche child seats) and luggage space; so I tried a few different cars including the Maserati Granturismo.
But she was actually cool with the 911 so... here we are.

After a 996 and a 997 C2S I bought a 958 Cayenne S ( family, practicality, " I am a adult now stuff"). Last year decided to buy a Sports car again. After looking around decided on a M4 Sakhir orange, beautiful car, fast, but something was missing (terrible exhaust sound!) And after owning Porsche the bar raises a lot!
So last month sold the M4 and yesterday bought a 2014 C2S CPO in Sapphire Blue. I couldn't sleep last night because of the excitement. I am BACK!!! I test drove the 991.2 .IT is an awesome car but I decided to buy this 991.1 and wait until 2019-2020 to buy the new 992.

I own a 2013 Boxster I purchased new.
Member of Chicago PCA, great club!
Chicago PCA takes over Road America, Memorial and Labor Day weekends.
Not hard to order a 2017 911.
I drove nothing else.

Had a 14 Boxster S. Thought I needed more space but wanted the performance. Traded for a 15 Macan Turbo. Missed the top-down sports car. Convinced the wife she would love the Macan. She actually does. Sold the MINI Countryman S. Bought the 2012.5 991S cab MT to get back to where I belong. I was looking at a used 997 when I bought the 981S and should have stayed with my gut. My fourth 911 since 1997 and I'm home to stay. Looked at no other brands. I been driving Porsches since 1985.
