Never seen something like that before. To see a real close-up would be good.

Based on this video you only need around 230 - 240 WHP, good tires (on oem 16 inch wheels) and some suspension mods to achieve that. He claims that he had also sub 8 min lap on just slightly chipped 951 S. Learned the track on computer game

I have never been there - 1800 km from Riga - too far in a car with removed air conditioner. But might go with ferry to Rostock and then 700 km on German autobahn will take just 4.5 hours But you are right – that guy in the video was right on the limit.

Good job on your car, and good luck with your driving!
Sub 8 btg is possible without to many mods, I have done a few just under 8 minutes in my 951, 7.57 as best. My biggest mods were springs/dampers and chip at 14 psi (semi slicks like toyo r888 or michelin cup should have helped another 8-10 seconds).
The fastest lap I have filmed in my 951 is this 8:01.

When you have done 130 laps, I think you will agree that biggest problem when you are trying to set a good lap time is traffic (when you drive on tourist days). I have had very good experience driving very late in the season, just before they close the track for the winter. The track can be almost empty then.
Like this 8:07 lap I had in my bmw 325 diesel (my daily driver) late november last year:
