Default Received my COA today and it's wrong, WTF?

I finally received my certificate of authenticity from Porsche for the 997 that I bought in December.

However, it is wrong. How do you mess up a certificate of authenticity? I can run a vin with a simple Google search and get it right.

The car an early '12, they say it was built in '13. There are various errors such as PSE (I don't have it), silver seat belts, 20" wheels, lit door seals, Porsche design steering wheel, crests in the headrest etc.

I was scratching my head and rechecking the vin. The only thing I can think of is some intern messed up.

Except when I go to sell it and the new buyer asks for the stuff that is not there.

Is there another simple way to find out MSRP without spending ~$125 on a COA with Porsche?

Possibly tracking down the dealership that originally sold it maybe?

It happens. Call PCNA describe the problem and they will fix it.

You can use this link for a Porsche VIN decoder to get a free detailed build sheet from PCNA, including the MSRP (all the way at the bottom of the page): http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Porsche

Better yet, use this link to get a "soft copy" of the COA (Use the below link and add your VIN after the "=": https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...print.php?vin=

You'll get this for your car:

It's what I used too. It's not hand signed by a Porsche executive but you get the build, the price, and its birthing date.

Here's the VIN check on your car - so odd that the COA is different.

Should this document also include the engine and transmission serial number?

The crazy thing is it should have been all automated and eliminate any human error. Weird how that could have happened.

Try this - put your VIN in as a new lookup.

My 2012 Carrera S has the factory installed PSE exhaust system but there is no reference to it on any VIN search. The car had only 4500 miles on it when I bought it so I'm pretty sure the original owner didn't have it installed afterwards since there was no paperwork. Very strange...

Try this link. (take out the space after https://) You can enter any VIN.
