To the OP'S defense. $400 is way to much for an oil change. I can see like $299.99 but $400. That's gouging. On the bright side thought. Maserati charged me $675 for and oil change but at least they changed the wipers. It's f×$#en sickening isn't it? I want to vomit every time I go to the dealer but I'm supposed too take it in the a$$ and smile wile getting raped. I did after all buy a Porsche instead of a Honda . I have to play the part. RIGHT? Service writer wants to see you cracking under financial pressure. So I just tell them to flat bed the car to my house when done. There. You thought I was going to complain about the cheesy car wash and the price of your oil lube from behind.
I also own a Dodge pickup and a dealer serviced oil change is like $49.
These are all luxury prices. Like when the wife wants a Channel bag and your hoping she would rather pick a Coach instead. Bags look the same. We wish.

Here in the metro NYC area it is. I paid $425 for an oil change. The real-estate here is astronomical. that's what they need to charge in order to stay in business. Unfortunately we bare the brunt as owners. It's still ridiculous though. Trees don't grow to the sky. Eventually they will be priced out of the market or a crash will occur.

$325 at my local dealer but could be haggled maybe 10%.
But there's plenty of local talent to do it for less

Unless it's a time issue, the oil change is a rather easy job to do mechanically. I get not wanting to buy all the supplies, draining it, and recycling the oil though as time is valuable.

I am retired with adequate income to live comfortably and enjoy my toys, but if I could line up all the $400 oil changes I could do in a day about once a week, I would go in business. If I could do that I could step up from a Mooney to a King Air.

$400 for an oil change borders on being criminal IMHO.

Considering 2 jugs of Mobil oil and Porsche parts run about $84.00 at the retail level.
Plus I get the satisfaction of doing it myself.

Forget the Mooney, get an EXTRA 330.

chill. probably a supply chain problem...all of those 'PORSCHE' labels are probably stuck on a cargo ship. When they sort this out there will be so many available the dealer will be affixing them to everything..look for genuine Porsche coffee, coffee creamer, floor cleaner, lamps, mops, tables, chairs....

for me it's less time for me to order oil fro, FCP euro on the internet, pull my car on ramps remove ONE drain plug and ONE oil filter cap and refill the oil. And putting the oil back in the original containers and shipping them back to FCP for recycling and a FULL refund. Then make a reservation at my local porsche dealer, dropping off the car, going home, then driving out to the porsche dealer AGAIN to pickup and pay. To top that off I have had multiple instances of dealer techs NOT reattaching the engine lid release cable, then blaming a failed actuator and trying to have me pay $1000 to fix it.

Just not worth it for me as the actual WORK to do an oil change is 20 mins TOPS. It just takes 45-60 mins to drain all the oil.

I specifically requested that my tires be filled with nitrogen-15 for lower leakage, but the local stealership used plain old nitrogen-14, the same crappy isotope they'd put in a Macan. PCNA didn't return my call. I rated them one star, only because the survey didn't offer a zero-star option.

Also, for some reason, it's really hard to get a decent loaner from this dealership.
