I won't pretend the ***** weren't truly horrible. They were.
But there were things that were developed in Germany during that time that are admirable.

So I finally got around to getting my new plate for my new-to-me 2012 Cayenne S in Meteor Gray Metallic ... this has been a beast of a winter DD here in Chicago!
F*cking Ohio still insists on wasting our time requiring a front plate - and I absolutely abhor the Porsche stock mount squarely in the middle of the turbo grill - so I rigged this today - thank god for 3M.

I went with one from US Millworks, their lightened version with the detachable mount. I figure the added holes in the lightened one will afford a few more mounting options should there be any issues with the forward sensors. Seems decently made, but I won't know how well it works until I take delivery on the 11th.
Note, they use 1/4-20 threaded holes (imperial on a metric-based vehicle, grrr).
I had to determine that when switching to using some tamper-proof torx head bolts to attach an EZ-Pass transponder (1/2" length works). I hate the transponders that sit in the window. While they're no guarantee, the bolts make at least 'slow down' petty theft attempts.
Closest I could get to würzig with the limits of the plate - German for Spicy (And yes, the paint is getting some major correction/restoration in a few weeks!)
Glad you went with that spelling as Scoot's alternative could be read as Go Stripper, not that there's anything wrong with that, but might have gotten you some weird looks as others came up past the driver's side window.
My Cayenne plate is custom but not specific to tge Cayenne genre and goes along with the plate theme on my other P-cars.
914 was first, then the silver 997,then the pink one (wife's), then the supercharged 928 Spyder (supersweet), and lastly the modified widebody Cayenne TTS (sweetest).
