Gents,
There's a great thread on this in the 997 forum, so I tried a quick search for this here but came up empty. I'm looking for some good ideas for a plate for my '12 Cayenne S, so does anyone have any suggestions you wanna share (or point me a thread that I may have missed)?
Thanks for the help

Gave up on idea for a personalized tag when on a PCA tour a few years ago. The only one in the group that got stopped, and ticketed, had the personalized tag.
The tag was 2EZ2SPD though.

Don't know what plate I'll put on mine yet.
I'm about to take delivery of a 958 GTS and wonder about the front plate mounting options. I put one from Mini Mania that fits into the tow eye socket on my wife's Mini convertible.
I've seen others with a wider range of mounting hole options.
Has anyone used something like that on the front of a 958 and found whether it interferes with the forward sensors or not? There looks like there's enough horizontal space to allow use of something like that if it had the correct amount of offset.

Been going that route across multiple cars for 16+ years. Every now and then I get a ticket for it (most commonly in DC

Only once (outside of DC) have I been pulled over just for the tag (Cayenne). I told him it doesn't have a mount (which is technically true as I told them not to drill the holes

I do know some cops and some jurisdictions (Park police in DC are the worst...) are worse than others so YMMV and all that.
If the tickets ever got costly/frequent enough for me to care I'd either go with the tow hook option like you mention for you mini or (at least on the Cayenne) I'd do something to mount it in the grill rather than to the bumper itself (thinking some magnet option so it's not visible when the plate is off).

I've had vehicles with and without over the years and been through the warnings and the like. Life's short and the less time I spend wasting it with the cops or tickets, the better. The post mount works well on the wife's Mini.
Given the aerodynamic forces up front I'd rather stick with a something mechanically fastened. Magnets are great and all but I really don't see any reasonable way to have them work in way that wouldn't also end up with small movements leading to paint damage. Likewise air flow, best to avoid covering a grille.
From reading elsewhere online it appears USMillWorks makes one that's got a quick-release setup. I'd love to know if anyone with a 15+ 958.2 GTS or Turbo has one and if the parking sensors are an issue.
