Along this line, I was giving a ride to one of my son's friends -- they are around 13 so as we all remember at that age, we were in love with cars. If I'd have gotten a ride in a 911 at that age I'd have been thrilled. This kid though... I hear from the back seat "Mr. Peck, this car doesn't seem fiscally responsible". I am not kidding . Those were his exact words. Now this kids parents BOTH drive minivans. Being the sensitive type that I am, I say " yeah, but you can't do this in a minivan" and floor the throttle. Too fun. I'm positive the parents hate me.
Breaking news.....informal study shows people are less friendly and loyal to Porsche owners. Knowing someone can own a Porsche when they don't gives them an inferiority complex which manifests itself with outbursts of "ooooh look at you Mr fancy Porsche owner" and other equally purile statements randomly inserted into conversations.
The study also concluded that most Porsche owners are, in fact, car geeks and would rather be driving rather than hanging out with people who participate this this type of study........
On a more serious note, if someone is going to judge me because of what I drive, I have 0 intentions of being their friend and therefore I could not care less about their opinion of me.
