Well it's not my problem if non-Porsche drivers are uglier, more introverted, less intelligent, lazier, and lower status than us.

Agreed, at least with my base Carrera and hat was true. When people (wife) would say that no t was too "fancy" I would point out that for the same money I could pick out a top-tier Subaru and check all the boxes. In addition, our X5 that we bought new cost $20k more.
Still, she didn't like me picking her up at the airport or iffy neighborhoods. She said she would get "that look".

I wonder what the survey would say about new Ferrari owners? Or new SUV drivers? Or buyers of anything new. This is meaningless. It's a bit like something I read on SniffPetrol (a satirical car site from the UK): the New Range Rover Evoque Convertible Doesn't Appeal to People Who Don't Like the Convertible Evoque.

The study applies to Europe where envy/hate for successful people has always been a trait. To wit:
"... The study concluded that the participants then viewed the Porsche owner as a 'rival', rather than a potential friend, and perceived the Boxster buyer as "more attractive, flirtier, more intelligent, more ambitious, and as having a higher status'. ..."
But... the same envy is fast growing in the US too.

Not by a long shot! I can't tell you how much crap I get from coworkers, "friends", family and strangers alike regarding my car. It's often subtle, but it's there. Despite being 11 years old and purchased for far less than most of the SUVs running around, the perception is that it cost $100k and is brand new. On the flip side, my wife drives a top of line Ram 2500 diesel (her business is horses and she uses it for towing often and puts 20k - 30k miles a year on it) that was nearly 2x the cost of the 911 and nobody blinks an eye at that. Perceptions can be crazy things.
