Flared Fender 2003-2005
$1,079.00 - FRP
$1,559.00 - CF
+ 1″ wider replacement fenders. Direct bolt on for new headlight cars.
Priced per pair.

The RUF stuff pictured above is sourced from Cargraphic I believe. Not subtle but a friend of mine has them on his car and they did allow for 10/12" wheels to fit under the car without issue.
Getty's site is very outdated. They have not offered the wider fenders for about 3 years now. I looked into these a while back and spoke with then about it.

The RUF flare kit is about $4K Euro. It required to the fenders to be cut. FYI, with the proper offsets, you can fit 10" front wheels without issues on the stock fenders. In the rear you can go 12" with the stock fenders also.

Hi Powderhound,

Thanks, what is the section width you have on those 12's, also what is your rear ride height?

I suspect that I have more compliance in the rear than you do so suspension travel is more of a problem with me.

The Ruf setup is nice, but not worth 4K euros to me...

I'm running 13s in the rear with 335s. My car is a 996 wide body which is wider in the rear. The front is identical as a 6GT3. I run 10s with 275s up front. My ride height is 102/123.

I just did a set up for a friends 6GT3 with 12s ET61 and 305/35s.

What is a 996 widebody? I have no problem with 305 and even 315's - the suspension seems pushed out a bit because of the new parts I installed - 997R Thrust arms and upper dog legs...

Any 996 GT2/TT/C4S is considered a wide body. The rear fenders are wider and the rear wheels utilize a 45ish offset thus widening the rear track by about 30mm compared to the 6GT3.

Personally if I were to do something like this it would be "go hard, or go home" which to me = RSR kit. Speedhunters did a feature on a black 996 GT3 road car whose owner converted to RSR spec, it looked sensational.

Ok, Thanks - didn't realize that. Just looked at the PET and saw the different parts. That would be perfect, and if done properly, be unseen...

I like the RSR setup, my suspension is ~90% RSR, but not prepared to go all in WRT bodywork. Would probably pull the motor and do a refresh 1st.

The rear end of the wide body cars does make a big difference. I would imagine any good body shop could add the wide body C4S rear quarters, bumber and tail lights. I think a wide body decklid would also be required. It's all OEM parts but I bet it would still hurt the value of the car as they are now becoming collector items. Would be a neat project though..

Ray, I Mooty may have experience with flaring/pulling the rear fenders on the 996 GT3. He certainly has owned enough them, including modified track cars.

Don't start it again Spiller, you are bad influence. All I can think about now is an RSR body kit and a 3.9l sharky engine.

Are you not buying a cup car and moving to the cup forum? 😂😂 lol

Years ago...a guy here in Charlotte did some body damage to his new (at the time) 6-GT3. He had the body shop put small flares on it - I think the shop said they were actually BMW M3 flares - but they were attached as part of the fenders and painted, not bolt on, so they looked factory. With the car lowered, it looked totally badass. very RSR looking, but somewhat more subtle.

I wish I could find pictures. guys name was Charlie Williams, big exec at Bank of America at the time - retired now I think. I'll try to find photos...
