Yeah that method is fine... sometimes when I'm extra OCD I will do an ONR wash and then go back over the car with detailer just for the extra shine you mentioned as well. I've found the detailer helps with cutting back on dust collection by a slight margin so I never hesitate to use it whenever. If you haven't looked at the Optimum Spray Wax I'd highly recommend that as well... as easy to apply as the quick detailer and it really amps up the shine + slickness. I'm not ashamed to share that I waxed my car 3 times in 2 months, when you can wax the entire car in 15mins or so why not!
As for coatings, my car has Opticoat Pro and from what I gather it works quite well with other Optimum products... no complaints from my end and from my experience everything works well together.
Thanks I also have Opticoat Pro on the BMW.
The reason I asked was because I have No Coating on the Porsche since I have no idea how long I would keep this before trading. Sounds like the Optimum Spray Wax should work well in this case.
Bought a new console switch assembly from Suncoast so I can add the PSE button to use with my new AWE Switchpath exhaust. Once I install the new assembly I'll take it to Porsche for programming. Kinda sucks that you have to buy a whole new assembly just to get that one button though.
I've been thinking of getting one of these to have switches to turn Nav-TV cameras on. Are the extra switches simple on/off switches? I wonder why they ask for the car's vin number. The GT3 does not have or need that center section. Maybe the console switch assembly is different if ordered for a GT3. I may need to start a new thread on this application.

Check this blog post out. I believe it will answer your questions.
This is something that Porsche should have done from the factory! I think it even saves MPG since it's LED...
....Said absolutely every Porsche owner since 1998 and the 986/996 came out ;-)
I think they do it on purpose, to sell you another part right off the bat ! Wiedeking bought himself a nice retirement home in Austria with all your combined smoked turn signals ;-)
