I just switched from a CS (991.1) to a tts (991.2) and feel like it's a totally different car (in a good way). Have not tracked my TTS yet, but driving it in European cities and on the autobahn was really rewarding and the car felt a lot different than my CS. And the acceleration is in a totally different realm. Drove a Porsche factory TTS on their Leipzig track, and that was a really exhilarating experience as well.

Nice! I absolutely love my GTS I haven't decided what I will ultimately do with it but it seems the TTS is the car I probably should have gotten from the beginning. I discounted it because it's AWD.

I traded in this:

And bought this:

I loved my gts. Great car. Wonderful sound and great ride. However coming over from a C7 zo6 and viper i just felt i was missing the brute torque and power both of those cars had. Once my friend bought a turbo S and i drove it I knew then I had to have a turbo S. Went to road atlanta this past weekend to get some track time in but took a small rock to radiator during the first session. That made for a bummed out weekend not tracking watching everyone else. I would highly recommend the swap for just the available power on demand. Nothing else like it.

I moved from a 13 C2S to a 15 TTS. The power difference is amazing. I do not track my cars. Hard to beat the TTS for a DD. It does everything well. I would recommend the Burmester stereo for those cruising days.

The 991 Turbo comes with zero protection for its center radiator and condensed which are exposed in the openings on the front bumper. Most 991 Turbo owners I know have had either of these expensive parts destroyed by rocks. Buying grills to close those openings is a must for the car.

Yes indeed. Take it from me. Buy the grills if u own either the gts or turbo s. The radiator is $1150 plus $200 labor to replace. Ultra performance in Winder GA is building me some good screens like he puts on the cup cars.

Crazy. I have tracked all sorts of cars over the last 15 years. I buy a porsche head out to track and bust a radiator with a pin size rock. I say its a poor designed radiator. The aluminum used in it is almost paper soft.

Lawdog, interesting to see you have made the switch from a GTS to a turbo and don't regret it at all. The low end torque is something I miss from my Mercedes.

sorry to hear about your radiator! You have a gorgeous TTS. Black truly makes it a mean machine!

The cars offer very different driving experiences. I LOVE my TTS, but the GTS with a MT is engaging in the way only a naturally aspirated / MT can be. In terms of use, I find the TTS to be an awesome car to drive any distance, anywhere, at any time. The GTS comes out on really nice days, shortish rides only.

You own both? I'd love to see pictures. Are they both 991?

I'm in the same boat - looking to move from GTS to Turbo S. I've test driven the Turbo and the power is a completely different league. The ONLY concern that I have is the sound - the GTS is pretty intoxicating - the turbo seems very quiet. Anyone who made this move feel the same way? I suppose there are exhaust options - but not quiet sure if any get the car to sound like the NA GTS.
