Default Sagging Springs?

I have H&R sport springs (29513) fitted to my new (to me) '03 Targa. Rear is decidedly low compared to the front!

Roughly 25mm gap between wheel arch and tyre at the fronts but the wheel arch at the rear is probably 25mm below! definitely not a matching gap and looking a little too gangsta.

Can only presume the springs (or just H&R springs) sag a lot over time? though as they were installed by a PO i have no idea how long they've been on the car.
Anyone seen this before?

need to get the height back up to something sensible but not stock. HR is off the shopping list though.
Jas

I wouldn't have thought that a reputable company like H&R would have coil spring that would sag so much - is the ride height the same both sides? I've heard of standard springs snapping but not aftermarket premium springs.....
Do you have standard shocks fitted to the H&R springs or could they be (if you are lucky) adjustable coilovers, in which case you can higher the ride height.

It's unusual indeed. Looks like it's the same on both sides, nothing seems cracked. and the springs are on what looks like stock struts

Maybe the PO went a little ghetto and cut the spring at the top to go more flush?

Not uncommon for H&R rear springs. I remember a thread where someone modded a hockey puck to level theirs

There it is!

Targas are heavier than straight coupes, especially in the back. If the spring selection did not consider that it could be part of the problem.

There are two different sets of H&R sport springs for Targa/Cabrio...
C2 = 29513-2
C4 = 29466-2

Perhaps this is the problem?
