What do you think it is worth, Sean?

As is, $25k plus easy. Only because it will eventually need to have work done to it. Top end refresh (not needed at the moment but will be to bring it to 100%), MM/PG job. I'm seeing if the guy will let our local paint/polish guy Andy Kay do his magic on the paint.

I don't know what the attorney is going to want done going forward, I know the family just wants to liquidate the estate and getting it running and driving was the priority.

At the risk of igniting a fire once again, and my apologies in advance - the price est of $25k is not what most would consider a liquidation type value, even for a low miles nicely kept 928. Of course, there is no official designation for 'liquidation' but my guess is that if one were to hire an estate liquidator, the car as it sits now running well, would be valued around $12-15k or maybe a bit more. That's what I consider liquidation pricing model, but again - I am really sorry...

If it were truly liquidation estate price, I would already have bought it, and had it home.

More important, glad to see Sean taking his usual great care of a nice example, and hoping very much that it stays local.

Value by current standards if all maintenance is done would be $30k to $40k.
This is based on what is selling currently in similar condition.
However this car still has work to be done. So I agree with Sean at $25k

Nothing instills more confidence in the mind of a purchaser than seeing new parts with dates hand written on them.

I will have this car from Friday afternoon thru Sunday for a full Paint Correction and Detail so you can imagine the value just went up!

BTW - When did an Estate Sale become a Liquidation Sale? I think this goes for more money!

Not too many one owner 928's left with only 40,000 miles. I'm sure all cleaned up it will pull 25k.

And nice work Sean as always!

Would like to see it again now that it is all clean up and running. We saw it before and passed since did not know what issues it had since it did not run. Can you guys post where it might be so we can see it?

The seller has a pretty comprehensive PPI completed by Sean at 928Docs.
That coupled with all the work Sean has just completed there is a good knowledge base available.
Just contact the seller.

Yup saw the PPI. Was hoping to avoid having to go back downtown to see it. But I saw Andy post that the owner picked it up so will have to contact them if we are really interested.

Thanks
