exhaust questions. '77 with 3.0L
I have a '77 slant conversion with a '79 3.0L motor.
Looking for advice on exhaust "upgrades", since mine is patched, re-welded etc.
I would be ok with a sport cat, but not a straight pipe approach. I'm ok with more sound, but not crazy loud or with too much cruising drone.
Been looking at the Fabspeed set up.
If there is a thread for this in general, just point me there, or throw in your opinions here. Thanks guys

For smog compliance. keeping things stock is best. Many aftermarket mufflers simply make more noise.
I prefer Dansk mufflers over ALL others for these cars.
If you are not concerned about smog tests, an SSI conversion with a Dansk Sport Muffler works VERY well.

^ I'll be concerned in two years. I have mixed feelings about undoing modifications. I know with a high flow cat it should pass (visual should not be a problem), does a cat eliminate the SSI's as a choice?
I have heard good things about the Dansk, it seems like a "go-to" choice for many owners.

SSIs bolt directly to the muffle so cats are out , unless you want to swap back and forth for inspections.
I actually deleted my cat completely with a bypass and it sounds great with a lower rumble actually, but not an option for you I realize.
