So I just have my key on a silver ring. Don't like things dangling and hitting the dash. That being said.....saw some custom leather ones over in the classifieds and got me thinking.
What do you keep your key on?

Guys - don't put pictures of your key blades. Keys can be reproduced. Unnecessary IMO

Anyway - I have a 997.1 but have changed to 997.2 Key fob cause I had issues with the frunk opening accidentally.

No key rings since I don't want rattling and damage to the trim while getting in/out if the car.

I"ve got one of the old-style gray and black keys (apparently it was the spare) and one new-style because the original was cracked when I bought the car and the dealer replaced it free with a new one. (The new one's button broke in a few weeks, so I had to DIY it with a metal tab, and it has held up now for 7 years).
I keep it on a black leather OEM fob w/crest. Picked up a spare for $10 on a closeout in case mine becomes tattered.

If someone goes through the effort of duplicating my key from a pic, they are more than happy to take my car for a spin!

I have it hooked up to this only as I drive 1-2 times per week:

I found this case shortly after I got my car 7 years ago - it has held up well; the leather is a tough as I have ever seen. Protects my pocket and not too bulky.

Racetwin2 - I also have a 997.1 and it drives me crazy how easy it is to accidentally open the frunk or unlock the car. I have gotten into the habit now of not putting the key in my pocket until I have walked a good distance from my car so as to not have an issue.

What is different about the 997.2 key and how hard (and expensive) of a change? Assume requires a visit to the dealer?

thanks!

David

I like my keychain because I can hook it onto the loops of my jeans or my computer bag!

I have the same one but in white to match my car and a Tile attached to it. I only have one key so the Tile is my insurance policy. Cool thing is, If I cant find my phone, I can use the Tile to find my phone.
