Anyone planning on going? We had a few people there last year (rbrtmchl, chitown928s4, me, UNEEKONE)....would be good to get another contingent there again.
Last year, we all met up near the Macy's, which was the overflow route, and were all able to be parked next to one another. Let's do the same this year.
IIRC, folks started trickling in last year at 9:30, so I'll plan on getting there at that time. I'm bringing my 7 year old son, should anyone else be considering the same.
The only thing that'll keep me from bringing my 928 if it's scheduled to be heavy rain. I still have a bit of waterproofing I need to do, and don't want to cause problems.
If you are going to attend, shoot me your mobile # and I'll get a group text going the morning of so we can coordinate final location and weather considerations (if any).
So who is in from the Chicago area? Or are any RL'ers visiting the Chicago area that weekend? There are always a large number of really interesting cars at this show.
Hey folks,
Mentioned to my wife earlier that I was taking my son to the car show this weekend, and she politely reminded me that we've already committed to being at a multi-birthday party in Michigan this week.
We had four sharks at the Supercar Saturday show. Rich (Chitown928S4) had his black S4, Matt and his son had their red '83, and I had my silver '89. Also Alan was there with his red '86. Great weather, a ton of cars and a lot of people stopping by and talking about 928s.
You forgot to mention the fella that took pics of himself in front of the each of the sharks by himself then inside each car with his kids. That guy had a gleaming smile and really appreciate our cars as he said these were his dream cars during his high school days. That was really cool to see.

I would definitely have to say that is one of the coolest things about these cars.
EVERY TIME I drive my red 928, I get thumbs up by other drivers (I smile and wave back), compliments at red lights, and pretty much every time I get gas.
Always glad to stop and talk to others about it since I know how it is to want one... also very polite and respectful to others since I know it will reflect on other 928 owners as well.
These are very, very rare cars my friends...
Glad to hear you did this for that guy. This will be a wonderful memory for him and might even inspire him to jump into the Shark Tank!
Supercar Saturdays organizer here! Glad you guys made it out, I didn't see you off on that side of the parking lot until the very end of the show... D'OH! There were easily 600 cars at this show, it's getting bigger and bigger every year. Happy to hear you guys got some well deserved love!
