Default Need help to indentify what is sticking out under my car?

After a drive yesterday I noticed in front of the front passenger wheel and "splash guard" there was this rubber feeling piece hanging out. I'm thinking a rock could of hit it out of place because I haven't scraped or bottomed out any time in recent memory.

What do you guys think? I'll have my indy look at it and take care of it if anything.

What's silly is that I forgot to check the other side and snap some pictures. Right now I'm out of the state and won't be able to check until next week.

Looks like this thing and looks like it should be flat. But yes, checking the other side probably should be the first thing you do.

Mine looks exactly the same - on both sides. Think you are ok! Or we both have a problem...
Probably a cooling duct as said previously.

Thanks for the pic! Yes I believe the other side is flat since I did not see anything sticking out. But I did not closely inspect the other side unfortunately.
