or "High end Porsche shop", which of course usually means they only work on 911's and will hack the crap out of your 928. Might as well be a "High end Buick shop". This includes Factory Porsche Dealers.

I also love "new breaks" - what, something just broke on the car?

"tasteful upgrades" - usually not.

or "rare 5 speed" on early cars and "rare automatic" on S4's

but my all time favorite is "ran when parked" - for God's sake didn't they all?

There is "towed to where it is now."

Back in the day, "needs a tune up" was common. I bought one of those. Should have said "block is cracked."

Yes! A lack of spelling, basic grammar and appropriate use of capital letters would all be red flags to me. I might let the odd missing apostrophe go, but it'd be noted

My all-time favourite: "just testing the waters".

Love these guys who have no real intention or motivation to sell, and just want to use everyone else's time and knowledge to determine their car's market value.

Haha. Key word is "usually" however. Check out this ad and the "top Porsche Specialist" they refer to.

I seriously doubt that there is yellow vacuum hose anywhere in Greg's shop Greg probably only got the OK to fix the biggest problems to make it a running driving car again. Still a "legal" California registered Euro S is pretty cool !!!

Everyone doesn't use that stuff? This 79 Euro I've got here runs so much better with all that color.

If it's a 'high end 928 shop' then they get a pass. Precision, Stan, Ratts, Doerr, Panos, and a few others all get a pass in my book. It's when it's a 'High end Porsche' shop that has only seen 911's and then 'try' to work on a 928 that is usually red flag for fail...
