I recently replaced mine and the difference is noticeable. If you think it's been several years might as well upgrade. The tailpipes should hug the car, with much less than even half and inch gap.

1/2", eh? Looks like my saggy mounts need replacing.

Looks like your left mount is disconnected.

Well, isn't that just a nice little surprise...

Here's the right side. Maybe they are both disconnected.

Hey Woodman, thanks for jumping in with a good example of sagging tail pipes.

OP, yours look fine.

Happy to oblige!

Researching mounts right now...

Any opinions on if I should go with OEM vs. Rein/other aftermarket mounts?

I ordered a set of the Rein mounts and just haven't put them on yet. They look identical to oem.

I tried the semi solid in my DD and didn't like them. The vibrating hum at 4K RPM bugged me. Like a drone with an exhaust. Other people love them so it's a matter of opinion.

If you want to get fancy, get the elusive GT3 oem mount. It's the same as the 993 mount from what I've been able to tell but not positive on that. My track car came with them but I don't have it here to get the part number.

Thanks Slakker. I don't want to get fancy, just hoping to save a few bucks from OEM if quality is on par.

I installed OEM and am satisfied. Noticeable difference versus the old set of OEM. No perspective on the other brands of mounts, OEM is cheap on AutohausAZ

I just went to their site, all they have are Rein engine mounts, for $79.46 each.

So, you don't have OEM, unless I am missing something?

Wow. Thanks for the comparison shot, that is great.

I am moving this job up ahead of replacing the bellows on my wing!
