Default Spark Plugs and ICV

Apparently two minor problems cropped up. Symptoms - crappy idle and a misfire on Bank 1. Throttle body cleaned, ICV cycled and cleaned. The ICV was really bad and needed a good cleaning. Cycled with 9V and got it taken care of. On to the misfire. Got new plugs and pulled Bank 1 plugs. Guess what? See if you can see the problem.

Got in the new plugs and did an oil change w/filter. It's been a day! Whew!

(Damn #3 cylinder plug center electrode had a gap of like +0.080". Center electrode was basically gone. I don't think I'll ever go back to single center electrodes again.)

My goodness, the center electrode is all gone on the left one and the gaps on the other two seem very large too.

Wow... how many miles and months on those plugs? Does it run properly now that you swapped them out?

Yes. That is 3, 2, 1. I'm amazed actually. Except for #3, all the other 5 were good but large gaps. Installed 3/25/2011, but can't say how many miles on those...yet.

So my advice is don't get these - (unless you like changing out your spark plugs!)

Yes. Paid about $100 for 6 of those in 2011. I got 24,597 miles out of those.
