Default I just got a 86 944 should I part out ?

I just a 86 944 , its been sitting forever , I got it to run in like 20 minutes with a fuel pump I had and cleaned injectors on the car . Interior is decent , body straight with tons of chips and very bad oxidized. I'm going to change oil and see how it sounds . If anyone needs a nice black interior or anything off it let me know . I'M PARTING IT OUT !!! Let me know what you guys need .

Depends on what you bought it for. Pics of the interior, carpets, option code would help in determining if it's worth parting or fixing to drive or sell.

If that is the original single-stage paint, it will buff out really nicely. N/A parts aren't worth a lot, so unless you have some desirable items like sport seats or LSD, it may not be worth the trouble to part it out. Just clean it up a bit and get it running and put it on craigslist for $2000 and see what happens.

Part it out? That's crazy! There's nothing wrong with it..It could serve as a good driver!

Agreed....

sure it has some issues and a touch of rust. Many do. Why would you not wish to invest the time and energy, a little bit of money and effort and bring this back to a suitable daily driver ?

ALL Porsches are special.

At least in my small world they are......

It hasn't been driven for 10 years so I need to flush brakes and bleed clutch right front fender and roof have a lot chips and fender was painted over . I always buy the basket case but its worth it to fix everything and lose money . I will get pics of interior its in nice shape .

I wouldn't part it at all! It seems to be a great car and will give you a lot of enjoyment. I would have bough t it and fixed it and enjoyed it. I went to IL to get my 85.2 M456 car and it had been sitting for 12 years. I absolutely love that car and would not part with it. The paint is much the same as your car but I love the car just as well. Something about bringing a 944 back from the grave is special and rewarding.

The more that get parted, the more valuable your running 944 becomes! Part it and help out the community with you "once loved" parts.

Part - it! Part - it! Part - it! I need the door panels and another bump in my valuation seriously I would definitely be interested in many interior pieces. Please PM me when you decide.
