That car looks like in very restorable condition. While I agree that our values go up a bit with each part-out, it does sadden me a little. I wish I had the funds/space to go on a country-wide rescue mission.

Ok , I had 10 year old gas diluted oil in it when I started it So I had a little noise changed oil and filter and it sounds fine . I might not be parting it out .

What do you have for oil pressure idling ? And hot with it going down the road ?
Did you use a 20/50 weight oil ?
Even if you do have some noise on the bottom end, rod bearings are considered a normal maint. item at around the 150 mark or there abouts. Some cars don't make it that far..... thing is. Just because it would need bearings is not a reason to throw it away or chop it and part it out.
The bearings are cheap.
Glad you are reconsidered on your position. Once you get it up and about and learn what these cars are capable of, it will bring you joy in discovery of a great driving experience.

A long term commitment will reward you in spades. I would suggest driving a 'sorted' example to see what these girls are all about. If that doesn't convince you, please sell it whole))
looks like a tru baller waiting for a come back.
