Default Eibachs and Konis installed

What a difference! Initial butt-dyno says much more stable in corners. Hit an expansion joint on an interstate on ramp that would unsettle the car previously. Now the car does not move an inch laterally. Just ate it.

At 78K the old struts were shot, so surprisingly the ride comfort really is not that different. If you are riding on original suspension it may be time for a change.

About $2500 total with parts and installation, including EBS spacers - 10mm front/18mm rear.

As for the stance... the shadows in the photo don't really do it justice. The car looks amazing. Between this upgrade and my Fister D mufflers, the car now looks and sounds the way it should have from the factory.

Looks great! Personalizing these cars is one of the best parts of owning them.

It looks like you may have had a ROW M030 suspension on it before your refit (it's definitely lower than a standard US suspension in the "before" photo). It certainly didn't drop very much, but looks really good none the less!

Right. Did you note that I've been on Rennlist since the late 50's... I know exactly what I have.

My suspension guru (Digital Chassis in Durham NC) set the rear Konis to medium and the fronts to soft. Rear stiffer for rear engine bias and the front softer to avoid bounce. So far seems right.

Looks great!

Your car is only the third other car in Orient Red Metallic, that I have ever seen.

Thanks! I looked for an Orient Red 996 for six months back in 2008. This car is a keeper.

Which suspension parts did you replace beyond the struts and springs? I need to do the same to my car.

Just the springs and Konis + wheel spacers. Everything else was fine. Got the spring/Koni kit from Tire Rack. Paragon has essentially the same kit at same price. Spacers from EBS Tuning.

Like Fister D mufflers, every 996 owner should do this.
