Do you have any information on the new wheel described by the OP? Will it be available through Tire Rack?

A month ago I cold-called BBS in Atlanta and spoke to a gentleman in their Motorsports group about making a wheel to fit the GT4. He said they have the E88 that will work (but which I think is a less than good looking wheel), and that was it. I pressed about making the FI in our fitment, but he was less than committed.

I spoke with him again yesterday and there is news. BBS will be manufacturing in Germany a wheel with the following specs: 19 x 9 +50, and 19 x 10.5 +43.5. He claims these will accommodate 265 and 295 sizes respectively, will clear the suspension components, and will weigh approximately 20lbs per wheel. They'll look just like the wheels on the Porsche 911 RSR (as shown below), and in fact are made on the same production line. They will only clear the steel brakes. Pricing will be $6600 and will only be sold through the Motorsport group so any orders will have to go through them. He claims these will be available in roughly 10 weeks with a few sets already earmarked for a few race teams.

I'm pretty excited - - hopefully this ticks a few boxes for other members as well.

Will do. I'm definitely going to need a dedicated set of wheels and tires for the track.

Just to be clear, any individual, race shop, or parts supplier can order these wheels, but whomever places the order will have to do so through the BBS Motorsports group.

Frankly, I thing they look spectacular in the PS picture of the blue GT4.

Default 5lug cup monoblocks

Hi guys,

BBS is making rears for the GT4 that match the fronts Tye and I had made for the 997.1 GT cars.

We can get them and you can thank the work of Tye and a little of myself from the original group buy that made these possible! We can get these for you and they're not 10,000Euro...

As Jamie stated this GT4 fitment is based off all the work we put in with BBS (over 9 months) to get them to make the 19" 5 lug monoblock thats based off the 997 GT3 Cup car monoblock.

Heres a couple more pics of the wheel on my car:

Is it the size you talked about in this thread? If yes, have you fitted them to a GT4?

^ front you need 9" et 50, and tye/jamie has that.
rear is 10.5 to 11" at ET 43-45 or so...., these has to be made.

and those who say the WANT these, let's put money where the mouth is. i recall jamie and tye had a lot of trouble with those who committed and renegged.

btw, these are not cheap. i am not sure how many of you are REALLY going to put them on the track.

BBS is doing the 10.5", I'll check with them on ETA, summer in Germany is full of vacations and shutdowns.

If you like we can sponsor a group buy and get the first sets that hit the shores out to everyone!

Keep us updated please.

I'd be interested. Would we need to -3 plus camber in the front though?

Would love to see them increase the concavity on the rear wheels. The picture below look like they are the same or similar face depth design as the fronts.
