I see nothing wrong a personal plate but I've never been a big fan of plates that plainly state the obvious "PORSCHE" "911" "911 TRBO" "CARRERA" (no offense to anyone with one of these plates).

Kitschy and creative model references are an exception in my book because they require more than 1 sec of thought. For example, "GT GT GT" on a GT3.

As for levels of creativity, just also keep in mind that people will misinterpret anything that requires more than 1 second of thought. lol

- People will assume the "DAS" in "DAS 911" is a references to your initials or something different than what you intend.
- Most people will have no idea what RPH means.
- Most people will have no idea what 996 means. If you don't care that most people will have no clue that a 996 is a factory designation for your model 911 then keep it in mind. If you do care then I'd toss out any options with a "996" reference.

If you want to keep to the model theme, combining some of the thoughts in the thread, something like "RX 911." RX will go over some people's heads but do you really care? lol

Someone posted a ZAFTIG plate. I've always liked it on a wide body car -- almost did that with my C4S, actually, but even with that, you'd be surprised how many people have never heard the term.

At the end of the day, it's your car. Enjoy it however you like. If adding a vanity plate will make you happy then ignore the naysayers and just get one you like!

I saw a plate on a car (not sure it even was a 911) owned by a urologist:

Those Dr. Kosmo Kramer plates are a CLASSIC!

One of my all time favorite Seinfeld episodes.

Since the car spent most of its time at the mechanic with the 30 day tags on it I hardly noticed that the plate I had was already pretty appropriate since I'm now a member. Haha

I personally enjoy seeing debadged cars that have "911" or "CARRERA" or some permutation thereof on the plate. It means that someone spent the time to debadge the car, and then spent the money to put the badge on the license plate instead.

Wut?
