Not common to see Twist II's on a narrow-body car, I'm a fan! There's a set of NB Twist II's for sale locally that are tempting me. I feel like the original 993/996.1 Twists really date the 996, though they look great on 964 and 993s. Twist II's are a good fit for the time period, pretty complementary of the overall design.

But they're definitely subtle, not a style that draws visual attention.

I suppose the question is what do you like? Personally I don't like twists or chrome on wheels. My favs are the Speedline wheels from the 993 Targa, but hat dates me. If interested I have a set of 997TT rims with MPSS in 19" that I picked up after getting my C4S that I think are too "harsh" for my wife's taste. The car came with Techno-twists and I have acquired a set of Kinesis K18's in 18" that I need to get on the car.

Who don't you look at plastidipping your new wheels a gun metal gray / anthracite color to tone down the contrast a bit? Cost you about $40 and is very easy to do and reverse.

Once you lower your car, you may need to consider spacers to get the wheels to line up correctly. While my car is a NB I needed to 15mm on all four corners to get the desired look.

Anything you like but don't fall for the 19" hype...the cod piece of wheels.

Another issue to consider with black wheels is the time you have to invest bringing them to all the Black Lives Matter protests.

Lot's of good responses here and a little comedy...

I put the Twists back on this weekend, and will be getting the car lowered later in the week. I'm going to stick with stock.

In the meantime, if the GT3 replica wheel with this design is your thing, they are for sale!! I'll have an ad up later tonight. Paid $3519 before shipping,
including 17 mm spacers, black lug bolts, center caps etc.

Tires/rims have 40 miles on them. Still new.

$2995 complete, or $1995 without tires + shipping.

Your car is sharp the way it is... IMHO, the side skirts complement the car best when you match it with the AERO front bumper or the Turbo front bumper.

Unlike the C4S, Turbo, etc... the standard 996 Carreras have a nice slight rounded look around the bottom which is very unique to the car like the center reflector is to the C4S.

Cheers!

First off we offer to share this C4S but with a lowered view, this may change the perspective on the issue by closing the gap it does present a whole new image (IMO).

An other option is a Twist with a Twist... Just chiming in some ideas..

Original FTW I feel like the car was designed as a package and your original rims look great IMO

Previous owner put 997 rims on my car, cant wait to get my hands on some originals!
