I recently refinished a set of fogs. New Hella glass lenses were ordered from eBay seller in Germany mentioned in post above.
Please keep the thread updated on how your experience was replacing just the glass lenses. Curious to see how well it fit and if modifications are needed. Thanks in advance.
Did the same 2 years ago with replacement glass from a different fella on ebay.de.
Also got the silver badge but payed about $40 local.
cheers
40$ was a good price but I bet Your wheels where a bit more expesnsive, but ooooh so good lookin'!
And if You always liked Audi RS2 withot knowing why, I can tell You it's because they have 993 front foglights and turn signals!
And re the fog lights, the "glass" is real glass so them looking tatty is often due to the inside beeing dusty and sunyellowed!
There is a thread somewhere here about how to fix them and paint them silver inside!
The silver hood crest looks great. I put the same one on my 993 & 996 (both black cars). The silver looks better than the gold ones on silver or black cars, IMO.

The Hella glass replacement lenses I purchased were made in Germany. Fit and finish were perfect. The old lenses were not easy to remove. I heated the entire assembly in the oven at ~130 deg for 15-20 minutes to soften the caulk/adhesive. I then used a slim profile razor to cut at an angle around the periphery where glass meets plastic. A lot of patience is needed here. Prying will damage or crack the plastic housing. The glass will eventually lift off. Clean residual caulk. Prep inner housing, primer and apply several thin coats of high temp silver paint. Installed new lenses with 3m grey sealant/adhesive. This is the only pic I could find.
