Finally I got my parts too. Interestingly tensioner part itself has year 96 cast in so looks like it was replaced at one point for some reason.

Shiny

I am currently looking into easy options to replace the little nylon button on the "arm"...if I find something that might work I'll let you all know.

How do you know it needs to be replaced? My button has one scratch on it, nothing tragic, I think it should be fine.

Interesting thing, 2.7 block has two studs too short for this version of tensioner. I'll have to replace them with bolts. Does 968 comes with bolts or studs here?

Also wtf are threads for 944 105 241 02 roller missing?

Mine is a little more chewed up, but I figure it's such a non-critical item that "anything that fits" would really work there.

968 uses studs.

And my triangle plate's tensioner hole isn't tapped, either...I don't even remember if the 968 uses that little roller or not.

What is the story with this guide rail? It is only present on 968's with hydraulic setup..

Does anybody have one with spacers for sale?

Ping Max.

He had some made out of delrin from the drawing I made up the thread.

A month ago at Road Atlanta he told me he made extras.

Maybe...., I'll look.

Dude I got a blown engine from is known for tossing "unnecessary" parts from his race cars though....

Looks like just a strengthening measure for the bottom of the cover. (EDIT) - It's actually an adjustable guide set to 1mm +/-.5 distance between toothed balance belt and guide.

I tried twice to post page from manual but image upload keeps crashing. I can email you page....?

I'll get to this for you but these parts are in a large wooden crate with two sets of wheels/tires on top.

Louisiana State in SE conference tournament (baseball) this evening so, it's off for today....plus I have a big parts thread over at Pelican that's eating up a lot of time with pic requests.

Interesting, thank you. Does 968 belt require less tension in balance belt? That could be factory remedy for belt whining, less tension and guide so it can hang loose a little bit..

If you have one and don't need it I want to buy it.
