Precison Motorwerks
A week or so ago I asked for a recommendation for a 928 specialist here in LA. Seems like everyone suggested Greg Brown at Precison Moterwerks. I got the chance to spend some real quality time with him and my 89 yesterday. I want to add my voice to the chorus of his fans. Precision is a family affair with Greg, Mary and Kyle all pitching in. They seem to be up for any challenge and their work ethic and professionalism are second to none. If you are lucky enough to get into their crazy schedule I highly suggest it.

You guys over there must be very happy having someone like Greg Brown to turn to. Over here in the old world there is no one like him. We have to manage on our own.

You have choices other than using GB.
1) You could ship your car to the Porsche Factory center.
2) Have someone else do it before you send it to GB to get it sorted.
Just put your name on the list, be kind and respectful and in time he will get to you.
At the end of the day, it's worth the wait and the cost. Not even up for discussion

Ugh, I wish I had the money to send mine to Porsche Classic to get it restored.

I can't help but wonder where they are going to find people with the expertise required to do this work....
Restoration of a 356 is about as complex as doing a lawnmower. An early 911 is slightly more complex than that....not much. And there are literally thousands of people with 356 and 911 expertise.
The 928 is a way more complex piece of machinery....with a handful of people that know enough about them to be able to repair them, much less restore them.
