dhc- I think you have created a beautiful car and my timing is just a bit off or I'd be very interested. Just finished reading the D. Moris order, shipping, customs broker ?, new brackets, install saga and I have to hand it to you- you are very determined ! You need to get asking based on that insanity alone. Seriously, wonderful car made even more so and yes, best of both worlds without the weight of factory hard top. Hope it lasts another 6 months so I can buy but I know it won't . GLWS.

Shot in the dark, but I would be willing to offer up either a 2002 G-Wagen or 2010 Roush Stage 3 Mustang with 540 HP for trade.

Somehow despite being a hardcore Porsche guy for over a decade, I have never seen the D. Morris hardtop. I freaking love that look, what a great compromise.

Thanks guys; OWP, I love G-wagens and one day plan to own one, but currently looking to stay in-breed with Porsche.

I received the new seals from D.Moris on Saturday to hopefully finally have my final fitting of the hardtop to perfection. It has been a crazy, multi-year process and I'm glad it's finally coming to a close.

I took my brother out for a ride in the car this weekend and he (not an appreciator of anything vintage) said, "This is such as sweet car. I feel like I'm in a space ship...

OEM pump with the pretty rare flashlight option.

Frunk + BK Sway Bar.

Tool set. Tons of stuff in there. Would be helpful if an expert pointed out what, if anything is missing.

Hood. You can notice the ding on the back passenger side. I also suspect that it may be slightly bent as well as it takes some gumption to get it closed. Original hood that came with the car fits perfectly, just needs a repaint.

So are there any lingering issues from when this car was water logged back in 2014? rust spots, wire corrosion, mold?

Nope, and besides a very reluctant clock, there are no electrical gremlins. While I keep the car on a tender, I can also leave it untendered for several weeks and it will start right up.

No rust, or mold, but the sound deadening and wooden floorboards were removed and replaced with Rennline full race floorboards (removable, have all the parts), covered by the CocoMats. When I removed the seats I inspected and cleaned the bottom, did not see anything but a lot of change, a couple 90's CD's, and that horrible glue that held the sound deadening down.

How extensive was the damage? Is it now titled a flood vehicle? And does the OE hood have the option sticker list still intact or has that been removed during the respray/repair?

Nope clean title. I posted the autocheck report from when I bought it in the original post. Hood does not have the original option sticker unfortunately, but I think you can decode via the VIN (I googled a couple places and none of them offered the options; maybe someone can assist?):

Will throw in a free gopro and auto suction cup (good to 150mph!) if you buy this.

I'm also talking to a body shop about doing a repaint. If I do the repaint, the sale will be pulled and my daughter is going to thank me in 16 years .

Just got back from Smog. Passed with flying colors (in case you need reminding, Porsche AG was independent of VW in 1991 ).

See below video I made today as well.
