According to the official site: "A ship takes an average of 8 to 10 hours to transit the Panama Canal."

The Queen seems to be at anchor again on the other side of Gatun locks. Hopefully, not for long.

She's cruising now! New ETA finally posted for San Diego... 2016-03-26@6:00A
It was scheduled for 4/4, hopefully the port schedule accomadates for the early arrival and doesn't just sit waiting.

I am think you are a bit too optimistic on the arrival to San Diego :-)
She actually gets there on 2016-03-26 which is still way ahead of the schedule.

In the best case scenario, how long does it take from arrival at port to loaded on a transport truck? Anyone know?

Someone on the 991 GT3 forum stated it took only 2 days for his car to clear customs. Then it needs to go through PDI (post delivery inspection). Then loaded on a auto carrier.

Thanks! Do you know how long pdi takes? I ask because I need to fly out to pick up the car and want to start planning.

It was very painful !!! You just never know?
But, as for the GT3 those cars, they usually have what's like a fast track (i.e they are delivered right away )

Thanks. It does seem all over the place. I checked a few other threads and people have cleared the whole process (customs, unloaded, PDI, on transport truck) in 2 days! I guess that's the best case scenario.

For some reason, Queen Ace is till not showing on Port of San Diego's schedule: http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/

My GT Silver GT4 is on board too! Sailed through the Panama Canal past Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala and now coming up the coast of Mexico. ETA in San Diego 3/26 (as per marinetraffic.com), then a truck ride north. So excited!
