Default Calgary - Preferred Service?

Who do you all use for service in Cowtown? Who would you use for performance upgrades and that sort of thing?

Default Service?

I do my own oil dervice. All you need is a decent floor jack like one from Costco for $99.

Independent Shops:
Adair Auto
Alpine
Riegel
Tuner Works
South Centre - dealer
Concept 1

I am sure there are others.
Not sure what sort of performance upgrades you have in mind.
What car?
Cheers,
=L=

I don't think Tunerworks does maintenance and turns their own wrench.

I use to go to marc, until his guy doing the work broke my air box assuming it was a clip but has a screw....I HAD TO GLUE IT. Then I witenessed him almost dump used oil into my turbo until the kid realised it said nfg on the side...and then I heard the other kid remind him it has 4 drain plugs and its a turbo.....I then paid full price leaving with my car unscathed exceot for a damaged airbox. I could mention other instances but I just dont go back.

I know go to the tunerworks guy at riegal and so far excellent service clean shop, friendly knowledgable and no broken pieces.

One of many reasons to DIY. Just to let you know I've been very happy with Motul X-Cess 5W-40 (P approved). No consumption, very nice and steady oil pressure and temperature, quiet running (valvetrain) engine (all compared to M1). I can certainly highly recommend it. YMMV of course.
Happy motoring!

Default Coffee and Cars?

tgt, et al,
Come over to Distinctive Coolection (Auto Mall) for Coffee and Cars on Saturdays, usually around 10AM-1PM. Lots of Astons, Lambos, 'Rraris, P-cars too. Mostly Ferrari crowd though. Distinctive have lots of pictures from past meets on Facebook, have a look. It gets crowded on a nice day.
