You need a more robust engine I think you should race a nicely prepped 993

We were 27 at the Fall Classic. Next year we already know of 2 more racers that are coming to have fun with us. We are currently working on the schedule and it should a great one. Expect a surprise!!!

I'd love to race a 944 but honestly, I can't have any more cars...and I run a Honda dealer so having a Honda race car kinda makes sense. I don't want to drive a NA 944 on normal track days where most cars are 997GT3 and faster...that's no fun. I'm already the underdog in a 996GT3 now!
I had fun racing in G70+, lots of good drivers and super tight racing. In the rain I got beat by 3 guys (JF Dumoulin, "Hot" Rod and snother guy in a white 944 with a bloody big wing)...and I have at least 40hp on those cars (maybe not all mind you!! Some seem more "equal" than others).
Maybe one day I convert the Cayman into a full race car.
Or buy an S2000 race car.

No get out... I saw the vid. First thought that came to mind before the scene where your grip loosens up on the steering wheel.. is my father opening line when I would have ANY car issues... "Did you put oil?" Engine blow out can cost.. was it a Honda engine?

Hey Francesca, yeah it was a Honda K20A2 motor from a Jap RSX Type-R. Lots of oil in the motor...just a piston shy of what it should be!
I thought for sure it had something to do with me "hitting" somthing going over the turtles at the exit of turn 5 (second esse) but the oil pan was not broken or damaged at all. All's i know is that i need a new motor!
Spoon makes a full motor (stock but built by the Spoon ninja's) for about $6K. http://www.nengun.com/spoon/complete-engine

I don't ever recall any piston issues with the VW back in my days.. That's a Honda for ya.. unpredictable when, they are to be predickable. Well.. look at the bright side, you still have the body intact, all you need is to find a use for the spare key on your key chain.
