The SuperNet 94 you get at the pump (Petro-Canada) is not the same than Ultra 94. My understanding is that SuperNet 94 doesn't contain ethanol but Ultra 94 does and it is actually a race fuel at octane 98. Ultra 94 is the IMSA mandatory race fuel for the GT3 Cup Challenge Canada this year.

Edit: after some research I am not sure anymore about that... is Ultra 94 a race fuel or not ?

All QC Petro gas has been up to or is E10 for a few years now. I had called Petro or Suncor I don't recall anymore but since 2010 or 2011 they have been adding Ethanol.

This had come up a few years ago but I can't find the thread with the specifics.

They just put up new pumps at my local Shell, and for the first time the ethanol content stickers are on them, and they say that 91 has no ethanol..

I think it's false advertisement and that they are completely aware that they are doing it.

Reviving an earlier thread, but when the question recently asked to Shell:

Ultra 94 is a race fuel with 98 Octane as you said.

They make it from 94 pump fuel with no ethanol and add a few things in to make it 98 octane and then sell it to you for 4.50-5.00$/liter. It's all made by ''Jean Pierre le gars de gaz'' in Quebec City.

BTW André, this is Marc, eng. for the #75 car in GT3 Cup !

I read that initially, yet missed it on the first read-through. Think this would be front and center - but the rest is lots of marketing, so not surprised.

Not being positioned to the 0.000001 of the population that cares, or even knows the difference.

Best,

Matt
