Default PPI in Montreal

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to check a 1988 911 in Mascouche,next weekend.
I guess my best bet for a PPI would be Wetune, do you have other alternatives.
Here's a link if you want to comment on the car.

Thanks Andy,

If I end up going alone ,I'll give you a buzz.

It's a 1 owner and a bit on the high side but the original cell phone is still in the car

How far is Wetune from Mascouche

Far... 45mins drive with no traffic
Is it your first 3.2?
Do you know what to look for and what to ask?

Ian will check the mechanicals and I'll check the body.
If it looks really good....then pay for a PPI.
Are you aware Targa tops ALWAYS leak!

Thanks guys,
45 minutes , will have to talk the lady to bring it to your place.
Yes, my first 911. What specifics should I ask. Was going to check the maintenance invoices for valve adjustments ,things like that.

Thanks,
Bruno

Was thinking , if someone that knows these cars in Montreal, would have time to go and look at it for me this week and let me know if it's worth my trip there ,or meet me there on Saturday, that would be AWESOME!. Lunch is on me

Bruno:
Excellence Buyers Guide shows the 1987-89 Targa priced @ $17500-$24600.

Not all Targa tops leak. My 964 Targa top does not leak.

I thought you were considering a Cayman?

Hi Walton,
No Cayman for me ,I'm a 911 fan.
I think Dwane was testing my love for targas
With this low miles , and if everything comes out OK ,was thinking offering 24000,24500 max
The only down side of the car for now is it's on 15''

Thought you sold yours ?

Start here: https://rennlist.com/forums/911-foru...immermann.html

Are you looking for any 3.2 or a Targa?

15" wheels should not stop you. There's plenty of used 16x6 16x7 available out there. You're not buying wheels but a car.

I can go take a look if you want. Let me know if you want to meet there or if you prefere I go first. I'm sure Dwane will join me/us. He's not far from Mascouche.

Looks nice. A low mile, well taken care of, 1-owner car is definitely worth a premium.

Targa is an acquired taste. I had a beautiful 86, and never quite acquired said taste! But nice cars...

Needs bigger wheels so you can find decent tires, and to be lowered to Euro spec.

If the car checks out as represented, and you want one, I would say make it happen. No amount of money saved can make up for bad paint, neglect, major mechanical issues...

Best,

Matt

Thanks a lot Ian,

It's up to you ,I don't want to take your time on a weekend, but would love to meet you guys.
I'm looking for a targa or would consider a cab if the car is very good.

Matt, tell me about it , that was my story with my 944S.
Very neglected car, had it for 5 years and could not keep up with mechanical and body problems, I don't want to make that mistake again.
