I 'm not saying I want to do it all the time, I'm just thinking that If I can try it a few times without paying to much in extra equipement, then it's something I want to try..
Also, loosing a few km/h in the straight is not a big thing for me.. I go there to have some fun time on the track, and improve my smoothness in curves, not to get the max speed out of a straight or get the fastest lap..
Its good to understand the logic on the rules - I think I would prefer to run top up anyway - too many things to concentrate on at 200 kph at the end of the back straight at CMP to have the additional distraction of a marble from the car in front of you bouncing off your helmet, etc.

Vipola - Our track chair researched the rules on Boxsters on track. The answer is the top must be up. If you want to drive the track top down, you'll have a chance at the August event. At lunch time there will be track tours - with pace cars to keep speeds reasonable where you and a passenger can tour top down without helmets.

....
That bring me back to the starting point.. asking for a better answer than just "No"...
WHAT is required for me to do so? Just like Michel #51 ???
If 'not having a softtop' is the requirement, then it's a pretty Funny safty requirement..
I asked the question a few weeks ago.. and been clearly told that if I passed the broom stick and had some arm restraint it was OK..
Now that I Bought my Arm Restraint it's not OK anymore?!? :/
Is my car less secure that it was last month??.. and what is that softtop supposed to do for me in an accident except broke and hit me if I already had something to keem my arms from flying everywhere ??

Vipola, as it turns out the answer was no and is still no. If you think the top of your car is soft, try hitting it with your head. There is a lot of magnesium in there.
Your Boxster is not a purpose built race car like the 944 Spyder with serious bracing of the roll bar.
Sorry to have misled you .. but you'll have to suffer with the top up. Assuming it doesn't rain, the touring laps at lunch time would provide an opportunity to enjoy the track top down without a helmet.
