Don't think so yet, but I hope that there will be!

As of now, I can count 5 out of 10 RSR board members already in, so, it looks like feasible.

I keep my fingers crossed!

OK....just an update from the weekend at Mosport. There were 85 racers there and about 20 Ultimate DE drivers. Lots of sponsors, from Continental to PCNA, etc. From what I hear, they broke even. And 85 cars is low if you look at other PCA races (WGI was 255 and VIR was 130). My guess is that if you find the right weekend for Tremblant, you'd easily get 150 cars.

Hey guys!

Let's show your support to a Mt-Tremblant PCA Club Race for the 2010 season. RSR region will have to make a decision soon. If you show support, it might become a reality.

Here is an update which is not encouraging.

1) Vince does not seem to have a "racing date" for us. A club race with noise limits and 30 cars max on track will not fly.

2) UCR had 80 odd cars and $15K of sponsorship. They lost $6K on the event. Ugh!

Regards,

But Tremblant has an advantage: it's been a while since there was a PCA club race there. And the last time a PCA race was held, it was on the old track.

Probably that a lot of PCA racers would like to try the latest version of it.

I think that attendance will be good. Enough to cover the fees, providing we have a bit of sponsporship.

That leaves us with the track availability... We need noise and 30+ cars on the track...

Could it be combined with BMW club race?

Regards

If I remember it is something like 52. Some are used by the Spring Classic, Fall Classic, Legends, Ferrari Festival. Those account for about 20 of them. Not sure how the others are used. It seems odd that Vince doesn't seem to have 3-4 days for a Club race though.

I would assume that the owner of the track keeps a few of them for his own personal noisy toys, like his old Ferraris...

But he could also come race with us. I think he has a few Porsches...

And what about Calabogie? It would be a first I think and it would be great if Tremblant fait la bouche fine.
