Independent Porsche Garages in Ottawa
Hi All,
I need help getting daytime running lights installed on a 996 that I am trying to import. It is quite costly at the dealer, so I am trying to find an idependent garage. Any advice for the Ottawa area would be great.

They deal with porsches of many different years. They did work on my old VW and it's where I usually get parts. They are usually pretty helpful I found. Go in and talk to them.

That is where a lot of the Ottawa guys go for servicing.

I have the kit you need to enable the day time running lights on your 996. It takes 5 minutes to install.
I can share it with you and you just have to bring it back to me after your done with the safety .

Auto Import in Ottawa has moved/closed
I just went to Auto Import and they are no longer there! A small sign in the window says they moved their service centre to Kemptville, although the website shows no sign of any change. NO word on their parts deptartment Any recommendations for other garages in the Ottawa area?

Realize that it isn't typical (and that this is a 5 year old thread), but there's a lot of things we can do for you too and my guys are comfortable working on cars of this caliber (mine included). Also, we can do the RIV, safety and e-test at the same time.
If a US dealer can activate the DRL it usually isn't too expensive though so try and get it done on that side of the border before importing.

They should update their web site or at least provide a link to their new business venture on their old site: http://www.autoimport.ca/en/
