Independent Porsche Garages in Ottawa
#16
For my air-cooled 964, I used Autoxtrem in Hull/Gatineau. Really competent mechanics, who enjoy explaining the inner workings to an amateur mechanic like me. They fixed my convertible roof for less than $400, performed a full-reseal for $1500 including parts (gaskets, billet valve covers). They are known for VW and Audi, but the owner Denis is restoring a 356 Speedster and they have worked on a ton of air-cooled VW engines in addition to the Porsches. Jacques is the engineer/mechanic who performs the work. I also saw a number of Cayennes and 996/997s there so they are definitely working on the water-cooled as well. They were spot-on with estimates and only charge $72 per hour. Really a lucky find for a Porschephile in Ottawa.

Yeah they are very "by the book". For a PPI probably best place in Ottawa. For routine service and brakes, tires, etc. there are better places in Ottawa. I have used Getty Automotive in the East end for last few years. Great service at a fair price.

Sean at Getty Automotive is on Canotek Rd. Works on my GT3 and so many other specialty and high end cars both older and new.
Pretty sure he's staying open but has some very specific rules for drop off and pick up to keep everyone safe.

Burning Brakes
Chris Kirby is in Vars and just a few minutes from Orléans. Several PCA members have all their air cooled engines serviced by him.
