Hi Peanut,

I was responding to your pre-edited post that finished on them taking £508 from your card. That's a great quote. Only nine more years to go...

Cheers,

David

Hi David so I guess you've worked out by now I'm an old fart with an old piggy !..

Its an amazing quote I still cannot believe it frankly. It would cost me almost as much to renew my RAC recovery and that's included free ! Actually my work- day runabout mondeo costs twice as much third party F & F only

yes garaged .They made it clear it would not be covered if left out overnight.
I had two Porsches last year also .
It would be interesting to know what the difference would be in the premium .
I know nothing about the recovery/ breakdown service included but will give some feedback when I receive the policy. It may be Mickey Mouse.!..

I like AON because they offer two stage cover, one for loss (theft etc.) and one for repair - they appreciate that the market value (loss) is lower than repair and they will take into account restoration work on the car. I believe track day cover is now included within the premium. I don't think Carol Nash will consider cars without CAT 1 system fitted? Don't know how other companies deal with this issue but AON do not require CAT 1. In truth this is a moving target - it depends on whether companies are looking for business at the time you want to insure. I wouldn't necesserily go for the cheapest either - it's the right cover you need for your individual circumstances.
