vibration from gearbox at 3000rpm
Does anyone have information on obtaining (or the part number )for the tie bar , its about 2 feet long , that connects from the gearbox housing to an exhaust pipe bracket. This is supposed to stop the annoying vibration I have at 3000rpm when coasting.
This after market factory fix appears in a technical bulletin that I have from 1988.the main dealer could only help if I supplied the part number. I have a 911 turbo LE 1989 ,40k miles
thanks.

Hi Spudgers,
Welcome aboard!
I don't know the part but I would be interested to hear more as I have an early (1995) car so probably don't have this part either. Can you let us have more details?
Thanks,
David

Doh! Yes, you are probably correct. Is the LE the flatnose one with the side vents? I seem to remember a really great looking silver one being up for sale a while back - very tempting.

David
