Mark your calendars for August 9th, 2014 for our third road rally trip to MUSCLE CAR CITY in Punta Gorda, just north of Ft. Myers.
This will be an exciting trip as we will be traveling through a Seminole reservation and some of the deserted back roads of Florida that many have never seen or know exist. These are roads with names like Snake Road and Immokalee Exchange.
Muscle City is Punta Gorda's latest attraction featuring Rick Trewrgy's collection of almost 200 muscle cars, which he stores in a 99,000 square foot former Wal Mart Store. Seeing is believing as all cars are in impeccable condition and the focus is on the best cars of the 60's and 70's.
We expect to arrive around 10:30 - 11:00 AM and stay through 1:00 pm or so. There is a cafe in the facility and restaurants nearby. The cost of admission is $12.00 per person.
For those of you wanting to spend the night, we have reserved a block of rooms at Inn on 5th in Naples. The cost for the club level is $299 plus tax. This room includes all drinks and food. Regular rooms are $169.00 plus tax. Call the reservations desk at 239-403-8777 and tell them are with the Porsche club and reserve your room. Join us July 17th and every third Thursday of the month at the Doral Hooters. The "meet" will start at 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm at this location or whenever you plan to sneak away from work. Look for people who look like they are looking for other Porsche owners. Meet other Gold Coast Region members and discuss your cars or whatever. You don't have to be a member to come and hangout. We will have reserved parking for Porsches only.

Yes.

 

We used to do a monthly Rennlister GTG at Hooters off Cypress Creek Road or the one by North Perry Airport, but the turnout kept dropping so I gave up on it.

 

This cooler part of the year Ill be going to the Cars and Coffee up at palm beach lakes once a month. Huge parking lot with 500 cars. And the Porschii get their ownn section.

 

Ill stop by one of these months.

I brought the Vossen GT4 to W.Palm Cars and Coffee and hung out with the local PCA club there.....nice time..

 

Next Sunday is the big one. Ill be going...and early. Took 45min in line last time when I got there at 0930.
