Default Cheap Storm/Flooding Insurance

With Debby rolling across Cuba, and then forecast to bring a buttload of rain to South Florida (and the rest of the state), I've got my cars in these. I have them stashed in an off-site garage, but I sleep better knowing they each have one of these cocoons protecting them.

I know the young lady who invented it after losing her car to a storm a few years ago. Pretty slick protection, IMO.

Right up until some random puncture occurs because of crap floating or flying around. (pessimism)

It is a really cool idea though. Mad props to her!

No padding for paint protection putting in on & off ? Not to mention hail, etc. Not so sure at this point. Maybe ok for indoor.

My cars are in a garage, so flying debris is not an issue. I get how it might seem like a problem, but the T-Reg has been outside in 1 hurricane and several tropical storms so for with no flying debris damage, despite the coconut palms in my front yard. In my neighborhood, over by the beach, just off a basin and the ICW, flooding takes out several cars every time we have crazy heavy, long-lasting rains such as what occurred a few months ago, so the car baggie is something I feel better having. Freaking clowns in city trucks leave huge wakes that can reach into the garage and definitely would soak cars if they were in the driveway.

It's $400 and intended as a fast way to protect the car from flooding. I have had no paint issues. Would I leave it on the car after the storm has passed or for long-term storage? Nope. That's not it's purpose. if I was really concerned about the paint, I'd put an indoor cover on the car first, then zip it in the climaguard.
