Default Rennlst small business business sponsor scam ?

I received an email from "Snookie Stoddard" who claims to represent Internet Brands. Apparently they want a change in the way I pay my monthly dues (from Paypal).

Can anyone say this email is genuine or a scam ?

It is inconceivable that someone would use "Snookie Stoddard" as their formal business name, regardless of whether or not their parents cursed them with it. I vote scam.

Hi John,

Just send an e-mail/PM to any prior official IB contacts you have used in the past and verify (or not) Snookie.

Cheers,

Dave

John,

Is he from Nigeria by any chance? I would treat this as a scam unless and until you get some credible proof of valid identity.

Why not post this in one of the Help forums instead of a tech forum?

Anyone who uses the name Snookie should be put on the watch list for referencing a show starring talentless hacks and imbeciles.

They're on LinkedIn, not that that proves much.

Snookie Stoddard is one of the account directors at IB so it is kosher.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Is the change a lower premium? I would pay the way I want to. Not the way that makes them more money or is more convenient for them.
