These fancy ads that load with a new page are annoying. The page should load first, then the ad. If an ad takes five or six seconds to make its pitch before the page loads, I'm hitting F5 until a "quick loader" comes up and the other ads, well they never get looked at.
I realize this may be the wrong place to post this, but I need to have someone who could change this read the note.

I'm afraid I'm really unsure what you're referring to. I don't have the same issues that you describe. What browser do you use? Can you please provide some screenshots that show what you're trying to describe?

IE9. Ads which have lots of activity (not just posting a picture) hold up the loading of the site's pages while the ad does its thing. Sometimes this takes 15 or 20 seconds to complete. Not seeing it on any other board. It is annoying, because although I understand the ads have some benefit, I come to RL to read the content, not watch the ads. Hope this helps explain it.

 

Julien, I am puzzled because the only ads I see are small banners at the top of the page which load instantly. Please tell us more.

 

I can only tell you what I have. Perhaps it's only my machine. If so, then don't worry about it.
