For some reason I'm unable to post pics or change my avatar. I've posted pics in the past,but can't any longer. When I try to post pics,even those that had previously posted, I get an invalid file message. I've tried posting from my album and from photo bucket but to no avail

I've just tried to change my avatar, and it seems to have gone through. Are you still receiving the error message? Can you post the image you're trying to use, in a post here please?

That 'invalid file' message always comes up for some reason, but the new avatar image is activated.

Perhaps that can be fixed.

 

Just tried to change avatar and the problem still exists,just tried to add a pic to this message and the same invalid file message comes up. I'm using an iPad,but I always have,and was able to post pics as little as two weeks ago.

This is the message I get:

If that is the exact image then the reason is because it is too large.

See this note on the Avatar edit page:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 350 by 425 pixels or 293.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

That image is 600 x 337 pixels. (right-click > Properties)

Use an image edit program to reduce the size then try again.

 

Ok thanks I'll give it a shot, that pic is from my profile which had been posted in the past though.

 

The resolution isn't an issue; it gets auto reduced.
I did it for you, so I guess it's an iPad glitch.

 

I appreciate it. I'm just trying to figure out what happened. I had posted pics in the past,so when I tried to mess with avatar,and it didn't work I started digging. It still seems that I'm unable to post pics,avatar or not.

Update: I'm now able to change my avatar, but still am unable to post any of my pics

Help?
